A wonderful place to work
Lead Teacher (Former Employee), Salisbury, NCFebruary 21, 2015
Pros: free lunch, great benefits, advancement opportunities
Cons: the center closed down in 2010
A typical day at Rowan-Cabarrus was awesome. The kids were very happy, lots of learning, parent involvement, and community events. I learned how to prepare children to enter into Kindergarten. Management – more... was great because they cared about the staff as well as the children. The co-workers were great to work with. The hardest part of the job was the day the doors closed and the most enjoyable part of the job was the experience all in itself. – less

Great place to help others learn
Adjunct instructor (Former Employee), Salisbury, NCJanuary 5, 2014
Pros: great part-time position.
I taught 3-4 classes usually 3 days per week.
The classes included ICD and CPT coding, medical terminology,
transcription, business English, keyboarding, and Word.

I learned that usually the older students – more... were the most eager to learn
and do their assignments. They were also in attendance regularly.

I worked with a great bunch of co-workers that were willing to help in any way they could.

The hardest part of the job was having to tell someone that they were not doing well in the class and may need to re-take.

The most enjoyable part of the job was teaching people and seeing the "light" go off when they finally got what you were trying to teach them. – less
