Senior Showcase (Former Employee), Glassboro, NJ – May 13, 2013
I was only at Rowan University for a year and a half. I made sure I graduated in three semesters. But in those three semesters, especially this past year, I have learned a great deal. Time management and organization are vital in the workforce. Sometimes there is no time to stop and think, so one needs to be prepared.
While helping create the senior – more... showcase for Rowan's Theatre and Dance Department, I was invovled 100%. I took on many different roles and wore many different hats. I do not like to stand around and wait for someone to perform these tasks, especially when they may not be completed properly.
Connections, connections, connections. This is key when working on any piece of art. I was able to receive donations for costume pieces when needed. I was also able to receive free advertising for the show, due to my people skills. I love working and talking with others and if one is respectful and polite, that can go a long way.
I also performed in two one-act plays that were in the showcase. I have an immense amount of respect for my fellow classmates and learned that it is a good thing to be able to rely on one another. – less
I was a full time student and part time employee for Rowan. It was a wonderful experience. I learned a whole bunch about not only topics that were relevant to my job, but also to my education. It was spectacular.

Pros: a lot of down time
Cons: no chance for advancement
Rowan graciously allowed me to work 8 hours a week during the school year and 16 during the summer to tutor students in upper level maths. It was simple and enjoyable for one who likes math as much as I do.
