Challenge yourself everyday
Associate International Ambassador (Current Employee), At Sea (Miami - head Office) – March 12, 2013
7 months, new cruise starting every Saturday, 6.300 guests a week, a lot of challenges, a lot of interactions and a lot of new experiences.

As part of the Guest Services Department, being a front of the house team member entails being responsible for the company's appearance and reputation. I am the go to person, the first contact the guests have.

Dealing – more... with colleagues from 68 different countries, guests from all nationalities and having visited over 20 countries in the process, it is always a fantastic experience to deal with the cultures, the customs and the personalities.

Being fluent in 4 languages helps connect with more guests; my commitment to the guests' complete satisfaction is what has driven me in this career path and I take great pride in my job. – less

Clean friendly enviorment. A great place to work.
Certified Vacation Planner (Former Employee), Springfield, OR – February 24, 2013
Pros: great benifits, cruising priviages, clean and safe enviorment.
Cons: seniority only counts for vacation bids, not pay for your department.
To provide a memorable vacation experience. For our employees to have knowledge of the product. Ask probing question so that we can match them to the right vacation experience.
We would research any comments or concerns and try to come to a fair resolution for our guest and our company.
I learned communication skills, Listening skills, and problem solving – more... skills.
All of the management team was very supportive and did listen to our ideas. In our department the co-workers all helped each other and worked well together.
The hardest part of the job for me was when our guest had a heartbreaking/emergency situation that would occur either before, during or after their cruise. We would assist the clients whether it was to contact family on the ship or shore side, or sometimes they just needed us to listen and let them know we cared.
The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to help our internal snd external customers.
I enjoyed talking to people from all differnt cultures. Learning from things that they have seen or done.
This company is very involved in our local community. They encourage the employees to volunteer in some programs such as G.I.V.E day where you go to places like Cow town or local schools to plant flowers , trees, get the schools ready for when they re-open after the summers. – less

A great place
Senior Partner Advocate (Former Employee), Wichita, KS – January 12, 2013
Pros: great product, people, customers, pay (good)
I learned a lot about the cruise industry and love the product. There are several weeks of training, to allow time to gain knowledge before going out to the work floor. It was enjoyable to work in teams and talking to a variety of customers. A lot of work/tasks can be asked of you in a very short amount of time.

Excellent place to begin a job expierence in customer service
Check In Agent (Former Employee), San Juan, PR – October 15, 2012
In a typical day at work I used to greet our guests, check in them, provide their room keys and answer any questions they had about the cruise trip. I learned to provide an excellent customer service, made people to feel good and enjoy their vacation, multitask and work under high volume of people . My supervisor and co-workers were excellent and really – more... helpful. The hardest part of the job was rush hour and the temperature outside the building. The most enjoyable part of my job was enjoy the smile and the satisfaction of my guests with the service i provided to them. – less

Royal Caribbean played a major role in my career
Supervisor (Former Employee), Wichita, Kansas – April 21, 2012
Royal Caribbean is a company that is fun to work for. They have a very lenient attendance policy and great benefits. It was a great pleasure to help my agents achieve goals for advancement. On the management team we were all there to support each other when needed. We all had our own areas of expertise as well. I believe the hardest part of this job – more... was when one of our ships was in trouble. Rising to the challenge to find a solution for our guests who were involved in any of those sailings was quite rewarding. – less

Outstanding
Casino Dealer/casino Supervisor (Former Employee), International – December 19, 2012
Pros: exploring the world, meeting different people.
Cons: long hours, being away from your loved ones.
A typical day would mean politeness and friendliness to both guests and staff. Quick resolutions to solve complaints with further follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
What I have learnt is that everyday is not the same, and you learn to have different solution for different situations. Understanding my role with (GAS)GOLD ANCHOR STANDARDS and follows – more... them on a consistent basis. With regard to management-I have a high personal standard and lead by example. I also maintain that I have great leadership qualities. The hardest part of my job? I doubt I have any, because I love wjhat i do. The most enjoyable part would definately be interaction with the guests and staff. I maintain that you need to have a good realtionship with them, because without them, I don't need to be here? – less

waiter (Former Employee), cruise ship(miamia-tampa) – November 6, 2012
Pros: there is free lunch on board and free dinner and free breakfast.
Cons: we work 10 hours a day or more but not more than 12
working on board the ship is a dream come true to most people in the world.a typical day at work is that we work from 7 am/10am/12am in the morning till 11am/2pm/4pm the we go to the dinning room to serve dinner at 6 pm till 11 -24h00.
I learned very many things on board, how to deal with a different race, how to be friendly to both your colleagues and – more... your guests, how to look the part, how to go an extra mile.Basically i learned things i didn't know about myself.
well management is also people,i can't say they are good or bad but they are doing their job professionally.
One of the good things about that job is you get to make good friends from all over the world.my co-workers are like my family on board.
The hardest part of the job is getting home sick and sea sick, other than that everything is enjoyable.
The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting new people, new faces, getting to know each other, making friends. – less
