The Technical Assistant will have daily responsibilities to include ensuring compliance with safety/ environmental policies and support TPM and Lean processes. Technical Assistants are also responsible for all mold changing activities and related duties including cleanup and proper fabrication of part containment where needed.
Safety-work within specified rules and procedures. Help identify and resolve safety issues.
Mold Change-Responsible for all mold changes and related duties including pre-stage procedure, and the completion of all mold change related documentation.
Assist in monitoring colorant levels and perform color changes when needed
TPM- Perform Total Preventative Maintenance checks on injection molding machines and related equipment as assigned by the technical supervisor (Process)
Maintain high housekeeping standards of assigned area.
Learn to troubleshoot basic machine problems.
Minor maintenance of auxiliary equipment.
Must be able to effectively communicate with others both verbally and in writing
Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment
Attention to detail and organization is critical
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job-related experience with injection-molding equipment of one year or more is preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent
Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach and lift 50 pounds without assistance
Excellent Communication Skills
