Cons: micro-managed, can feel belittled, certain employees are favored/targeted
I typically work for 8-10 clients (universities and colleges) a day writing, designing and creating fundraising materials for their phonathon or non-profit efforts. I enjoy what I do and am a great communicator (orally and written).
Co-workers are understanding and respectful. New management came into play in June (due to a merge) and it is very hierarchical – more... and they now micro manage. We are usually very independent and also work with teams, but management was never involed before the merge.
It takes a lot of effort to prioritize needs and wants of clients while working on a tight timeline.
Also, because I speak the Spanish language, management is asking me to utilize my translating abilites with no increase in pay or accomadation in my daily workload. – less
