Rural/Metro Corporation (Rural/Metro) is a private fire protection services business providing services to residential and commercial property owners on a subscription fee basis. The Company operates in four regional segments: Mid-Atlantic, South, Southwest and West. Mid-Atlantic segment includes New York and Northern Ohio. South segment include Alabama, Florida (fire), Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey (fire), North Dakota, Southern Ohio, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
