Rural Health Group, Inc. is a not-for-profit, community health center dedicated to providing primary medical care, dental care, and other health-related services to our region's underserved. As the community's only safety net clinic, our responsibility to the growing number of uninsured in our community is immense.
No one is ever refused service because of inability to pay. We are the insurance plan for the region's poor. All of our services are offered on a sliding fee scale based upon income and family size. Over 20,000 people have received care at Rural Health Group, Inc. via the following programs:

Our board of directors is comprised of over 51% active patients of the health center. In addition to patients, we have expertise on our board from financial planners, attorneys, health care providers and administrators. We have a well-rounded, experienced board dedicated to increasing access to care while managing a fiscally sound organization. The board directs senior management that all decisions must undergo thorough business modeling, cost-benefit analysis and program development.
Our mission drives the management and staff of Rural Health Group, Inc. to identify health needs in the community, develop programs to meet those needs and provide superior quality services for our patients. As a community-founded, -funded and -focused organization we are committed to offering a comprehensive package of services to not only meet the standards of care in the community, but exceed those standards.
As one of the more than 1,000 health centers nationwide providing care to more than 10 million patients in over 2,300 sites, we are part of a larger network dedicated to strong and healthy communities. The community health center program began in the mid-1960s as a part of the Lyndon B. Johnson Administration's nationwide "War on Poverty" campaign. The program continues to grow to meet the needs of American communities and fill the gaps in the health care system for those patients unable to pay for their health care. Nationwide our focus is on preventive health care, keeping people well so that they can be productive members of society contributing to the economic success of our country. Health centers represent innovative and cost-effective models for the delivery of health care for the nation's medically underserved individuals, children and families.
