Office work, Calm environment
Student Assistant II (Former Employee), New Brunswick, NJApril 16, 2014
Pros: lot of down time
Cons: low pay
Come in to the office greet everyone and sign in for work. Ask the secretary what they needed me to do. Generally completed audits and finalized paperwork by inputting them into the computer data base. Co-workers were very chatty but pleasant to work with. Very social work condition, frequented by students asking for directions or filling of financial – more... aid forms.

The job did not have any difficulties.

The most enjoyable part of the job is it wasn't demanding. – less

My Day At Work
Certified Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist (Current Employee), New Brunswick, NJMarch 20, 2014
Pros: i work with nice people
Cons: i work in a prison .
A typical day at work is busy..Thats a good thing .The day goes by fast. I have learned tolerance. I have also discovered that there is a approach that a manager must have with their staff to have a productive and enjoyable work day.The hardest part of my job is when your boss doesn't respect you. Not because of poor work performance. But because of – more... who you are as a person. The most enjoyable part of my job is at the end of the dayI made a difference. – less

Typical Day
Building Manager, Shift Supervisor (Former Employee), Camden, NJJanuary 17, 2014
Pros: flexible, oppurtunity to develop job skills, consistent hard work rewarded
Cons: no outlook, eat if time (not scheduled)
Each shift has a giant list of events that need to be prepped for each day, this can change at an instant requiring you to be on your toes. Events that are focused on clients outside of the university are in need of constant need and customer service. Upper Management doesn't have plans in place for downtime and that is where the job can come off the – more... tracks. – less

Project Coordinator (Former Employee), Piscataway, NJJanuary 8, 2014
Pros: seminars, casual work environment
Cons: inconsistent supervisors
I loved working at the Genetics Department at Rutgers. Everyone was very nice, supportive, and worked together towards goals. Sometimes inconsistent expectations were an issue, but it was a very minor problem.
