The San Antonio Technology in Education Coalition (SATEC) is an alliance of several educational entities in San Antonio, Texas. SATEC has been in operation since 1997 when it received a five-year, multi-million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The SATEC Program provides the resources to improve the mathematical skills of middle and – more... high school students by incorporating the latest technological innovations into the classroom instruction. This is accomplished by using the technology to help the students make the connection between abstract mathematical concepts and concrete, real-world experiences. SATEC seeks to have a seamless integration of technology into the curriculum and instruction.
