Very busy work days, which is great. Great deal of interaction with students and faculty. Worked directly with the Dean, and supporting Department Heads. Great work environment.

Working at the District
Accounting Clerk II (Former Employee) –  San Bernardino, CANovember 15, 2016
Benefits are great! Majority of the employees are nice. Pay is not as high as other school districts. HR and management are horrible. Can't go to HR for any help/assistance. They like to swept it under the rug so they dont have to actually work and dont keep it confidential. Management is the same way. Never around, have no idea what their employee jod duties are or have an idea what the processes are. Management doesn't seem to care what you do, what any issues are, how well you work as long as you dont bother them. System is corrupt! They like employees whom don't work, they get praised and the ones who work hard get treated like dirt. Management is quick to throw the hard working people under the bus.
Pros
Benefits. Time off.
Cons
Poor management and HR. Low pay.

Organized Chaos
Purchasing Agent (Former Employee) –  San Bernardino, CAMarch 7, 2016
The people are very nice here, however the uppers are highly questionable in their ethical practices. Many people are out on extended leaves, "Borrow" articles from the colleges that they shouldn't such as warehouse trucks for home use, gas cards for personal trips. Etc.
Pros
Government school job
Cons
Controlled Chaos

The San Bernardino Community College District is dedicated to serve all its students and employees.
However, the opportunities that it has to offer employees can become limited at times. However, when you are the one receiving the opportunity you really cannot say much. In addition, they do a great Job of treating everyone with respect regardless of the position you are working in.
