Building Service Worker (Former Employee) –  San Diego, CAAugust 4, 2015
My first day on the job I experienced how to help people to their conference rooms since they're new to the area, make them feel comfortable and safe. The hardest part of this job was staying productive when waiting to be called to setup a conference room.
Pros
Fun and friendly coworkers

My experience at the Convention Center has been outstanding. I receive my section assigment and go to work. Shifts are short, never more than 5 hours so no need for a break. Management is helpful but not micromanaging.
Pros
Good pay for easy work

I worked during Comic-Con and it was a blast. I got to see the sights and people. The people I worked with were great and friendly. The hardest part of the job was the hours. The most enjoyable part of the job was the atmosphere.

Maintenance Worker (Former Employee) –  San Diego, CAFebruary 18, 2015
Working for the San Diego Convention Center was amazing. I learned how to use a Cardboard Baler and use different sanitation equipment to wipe windows, clean toilets and monitor hall ways. And lobby's cleaning up after half a million people is not as bad as it sounds!
Pros
got to meet actors and celebertities
Cons
short breaks

Sales Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Alexandria, VAJuly 23, 2013
Working at San Diego Convention Center was never typical. There was always a hotel partner stopping pass or a clients coming to get more information about the city. I learned a lot of the backend of Conventions and all the paperwork that goes into making a successful Convention. The most enjoyable part of my job was meeting all the wonderful people and getting to go to San Diego once a year.
