Pros: my students

Good Job
Teacher's Assistant (Former Employee), San Diego, CAJuly 1, 2014
It was a very easy going job. Except on graduation days when it would get overwhelmingly busy. But it wasn't all that bad.

Culinary Arts Instructor (Former Employee), San Diego, CAApril 20, 2013
Pros: it was fun and rewarding to connect with teenagers
Cons: sudden loss of funding for continuation of my job
It was a 2 year gig for me, alongside my full time job as a chef. I learned to lower my expectations of immediate results, and to relax and have fun with them while we learned productivity and good work habits.

Claims Processor/Customer Service (Former Employee), San Diego, CAFebruary 9, 2013
Pros: excellent salary and benefits
Cons: no flex time/standard 8:00 to 4:30
A typical day at work is in by 8am logged in computer pulled paper
claims from drawer to process in the interim also answered member and provider calls logged all calls into system. Also had other duties
as writing our own denail letters and subrogation letters, did all adjustements on voids and refunds and assisted with check runs.
I learned customer service, how to answer the phone explain plan and policies to members and providers always in a professional manner.
My co workers were great. We all worked as a team to get the job done.Be it processing claims, customer service calls, check runs ect. I worked with excellent group.
Hardest part of the job was adjusting voids and refunds.
The most enjoyable part is customer service when a member calls with an issue and you help resolve the issue with members satisfaction. That sense of accomplishment is always good.
