COURT REFERRAL OFFICER, San Marcos, CA - December 28, 2016
Met with defendants, assessed them for problems with substance abuse or mental health issues. Made recommendations to the court and then gave referrals to programs when ordered to do so by the court. Kept case management files on the defendants for the court until the programs were completed. Took phone calls and made phone calls, attended meetings with the different programs associated with the court. Manager was wonderful, co-workers were great. Hardest part of the job was doing what the court ordered no matter what I thought. Most enjoyable, was seeing a person get the needed help, instead of just jail.
