About San Dimas Community Hospital

Shasta Regional Medical Center serves counties in northern California. The medical center offers a variety of services in areas such as surgical and critical care, emergency and trauma, and cardiac care. It has a capacity of about 250 beds. Specialty units include the complex's Chest Pain Center, Vascular Wellness Center, and Cardiovascular Catheterization – more... Laboratory. Other services include diabetes care, neurosciences, orthopedics, radiology, and oncology. Shasta Regional is operated by hospital management firm Prime Healthcare Services.

Prime Healthcare Services took over operations at the hospital in 2008 when former operator Hospital Partners of America (HPA) filed for bankruptcy protection. Medical Properties Trust owns the property that the hospital is located on. Majority ownership of the hospital was sold by former parent Tenet to HPA in 2004.

Founded by doctor Thomas Wyatt in 1945 as Memorial Hospital, the medical center has completed renovations, including the addition of a four-story patient tower with heliport.
