Admissions (Former Employee) – Alamosa, CO – September 6, 2016
The most enjoyable part of the job was the patients. I absolutely loved being there for them and talking with them everyday. You do get your regulars and they love it when you remember them. The food is delicious and the kitchen staff is amazing! Coworkers and management on the other hand. The whole time I was there I saw people getting special recognition just because of who they were friends with. I saw people being slackers and doing make up and taking "selfies" only get a pat on the back and those who work super hard not even get a thank you or any kind of appreciation. There needed to be more communication between management and the employees. One person should not have to pick up the slack of everyone else.
Admissions Representative (Current Employee) – Alamosa, CO – December 4, 2015
A typical day at work consists of patient care, medical terminology, computer programs, scheduling, and lots of laughter. SLVRMC is a place where everyone treats you like family, and has a deep understanding of that real family comes first.
Great people, management issues in administration, but i loved this hospital!
Radiologic Technologist III (Former Employee) – Alamosa, CO – September 15, 2014
Good working environment because of the people you work with. Work load is steady but can occasionally seem hectic due to skeleton crew. Good food in the cafeteria but limited to breakfast and lunch only. Good to state of the art equipment throughout the department but sadly lacking in training to go with the equipment. Should have had a more comprehensive inservice in my opinion
New emr system was poorly thought out 2 separate operating systems that do not talk to each other which causes problem in managing patient information..Digital x-ray system very difficult to use. Poor moral.
