San Marcos High School/smusd
Campus Supervisor (Former Employee) – San Marcos, CA – September 4, 2016
A typical day of work at San Marcos High School was to either to be a crossing guard in the morning before school starts or in the evening. Which entailed I would walk the kids across the street and help direct traffic through the parking lot. I had to efficiently plan timing on the cars coming in and out so that there was a constant stable traffic flow. During school hours my duties were to watch the second floor, build a rapport among students and teachers, report suspicious activity, bring kids down to the office, write up kids that were misbehaving, and deliver passes.
The hardest part of my job was not having much to do when I was supervising the parking lot during school hours, I prefer to constantly have multiple things to do and just sitting and watching the area was a little tedious.
The thing I liked most about my job was gaining the kids trust and respect. It was a rewarding feeling having the students come to me for help.
Wonderful children, Experience in Schools, Became a union member, Nice pay
Short hours, and not enough work
