The Hardware Engineer designs, develops, and supports, electronic hardware and/or associated software which implements the required functionality to meet product specifications, IR & D, or direct contract requirements.

Requires specialization and design competency in one or more of the following Electrical Engineering design disciplines:

 Analog Electrical Engineering
 Digital Electrical Engineering

As part of normal job duties, will perform detailed design in area of expertise and may direct technicians as assigned.

Ensures execution of tasks in accordance with project schedules.

Works under daily direction of Project, Senior Engineer or other Engineers.
Designs and documents, systems, circuits, through preparation of specifications, circuit designs, lists of materials, test procedures, and drawings.

Supports Manufacturing through development and improvement of products, improved test methods, test procedures, consultation, and fault isolation.

Responsible for tracking progress and completing assigned tasks in accordance with established project costs and schedules.

Responsible for the technical performance of equipment assigned to personally design or improve.

Education / Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering. Minimum 1-3 years of experience as an electronic detailed design engineer in development of RF based systems for FAA, DOD, avionics or navigation applications.

Skills: Sound knowledge of theory and mathematical basis of theory in area of specialization with the ability to apply theory and analytical techniques to achieve design objectives and specifications. Ability to communicate technical concepts to peers, subordinates and customers in both verbal and written form.
