The Regional Sales Manager – Injury Prevention Consultant (IPC) is an experienced salesperson with responsibility for sales of Safe Patient Handling solutions and consulting services to both Acute Care Hospitals and Long Term Care facilities. The salesperson will cover an assigned geographical territory reporting to sales management to execute sales strategies to address this well-established and rapidly growing market opportunity. SPH Medical (www.sphmedical.com) is a leading provider of patient lift equipment/assistive devices, clinical education, & consulting services designed to help facilities and caregivers address the high risks tasks of manual patient handling. SPH Medical offers a broad and comprehensive safe patient handling equipment portfolio. Recent legislation in California (AB1136) requires that hospitals implement safety programs to protect their nurses and caregivers form occupational injuries related to patient handling.
The Account Executive/IPC will be actively engaged in developing sales strategies for capital equipment and clinical consulting, working closely with the Sales Management and clinical resources, and managing the entire sales life cycle of Safe Patient Handling product line sales including Clinical Consulting services, within the sales territory. This person will have the leadership skills and experience to assist SPH Medical in achieving its market share and revenue objectives.
We're looking for highly energetic and personable sales people with a broad range of hospital or clinical experiences. Bachelor's Degree, MBA, RN, PT, EMT, or similar will be considered. A minimum of two-three (2-3) years of recent and successful capital sales experience within medical device industry to include:
A specific focus in patient care related products calling on multiple acute and long term care call points and departments. Having established relationships within assigned geographic territory will be ideal. Advanced training and/or work experience in healthcare operations, organization, budgeting, and purchasing. Negotiating and monitoring compliance to customer contracts.
