Summit Mortgage Corporation, a nationwide mortgage lender, is looking to hire a Closing Assistant in the closing department to perform the final preparation and audit of all documents needed for closing.
This position is an integral part of the closing team and includes the responsibilities of entering closings into the closing calendar, maintaining title company approvals, reviewing closing loan files for proper documentation and accuracy, maintaining and prioritizing the closing file queue, working closely with the underwriting and closing staff. This person is the primary liaison between the closing department and the branch personnel.
The position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of one year experience in the mortgage industry.
Knowledge and Skills
Familiarity with mortgage documents, title commitments, hazard insurance a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Aptitude for figures and detail orientated.
Ability to work independently
Data entry, strong computer and typing skills
Ability to work effectively under time constraints and flexibility to work overtime when necessary
