Solid company
Design Manager and Sr. Art Director (Former Employee), Fort Worth and Southlake, TX – January 10, 2013
Pros: great team of smart folks, lots of opportunity for creativity in various media
Cons: long hours, bureaucracy common to large corporations
For Sabre Holdings, I managed an international team of designers responsible for brand marketing and advertising over 17 different brands including Travelocity Business, GetThere, Sabre Airline Solutions, Sabre Travel Network and Sabre Hospitality Solutions. This team and I created print collateral, tradeshow graphics, videos, presentations, Web designs, – more... and advertising. I was also responsible for the overall visual direction for these brands and others and was an intergral part of the tone and voice including copy writing.
My peers were a team of brand managers and an online manager. We all reported to the VP of Brand Marketing. My peers were savvy, energetic people who were fun to work with and fun to know. My team of direct reports, indirect reports, freelancers and contractors were spread throughout the U.S., South America and Europe. I also worked with the teams in Asia and Australia to support their branding and advertising initiatives.
I learned a great deal regarding marketing, strategy, branding and international relations during my 12+ years at Sabre. I also expanding my design and strategy reach to the online, interactive and video world, bringing strategic thinking to each of these areas. I insisted on having access to market research conducted by our research team. This information gave me greater insight into the industries we served and the people that worked within those industries. I learned how to best help them do their jobs, and in turn create a better experience for their end customer.
I strive to carry these lessons through every project. My goal is simply to help my client be successful by learning about their client, understanding their pain points and finding solutions to them. – less

unpredictable
Senior Trainer (Former Employee), Southlake, TX – November 17, 2012
Pros: two good work friends, free snacks at times
Cons: no permanent workspace, grumpy co -workers
My manager spent more time taking vacation and traveling than she did at her desk. She had no clue how to manage us with respect and integrity. When it came time for her to let me go, she fabricated a lot of the information along with HR to ensure that I would never be able to work there again. In other words, she lied about my work ethics and had it – more... in for me starting the first week I worked there. – less

Disconnected and Disloyal
Senior Business Systems Analyst (Former Employee), Southlake, TX – August 6, 2012
Pros: decent pay, wfh philosophy pervasive
Cons: the absolute worst healthcare options i have ever been offered, embarrassingly pitiful development procedures, a year into my contract they decided to renege on a week of vacation
At least twice each year, employees of Sabre Holdings are catapulted into panic mode by the threat of massive layoffs. Most duck, hide, and make sure they are firmly attached to a billable project. The unfortunate ones get 30 days notice and the hatchet.
Sabre Holdings owns a handful of travel websites, most notably Travelocity. They are also in the – more... business of software development, with the aviation industry as their primary customer base.
During the time I was employed by this company, their development process was so shoddy that new software releases/updates included a list of known issues that was longer than the list of upgraded features.
Executive and senior level management are disconnected from the workforce and, as mentioned above, loyalty is only afforded to the drones who drank the Kool-Aid and, as a result, go about their daily lives spewing rancid fairy tales in an effort to convince frustrated customers that the next release will fix everything!
Sorry folks...if it looks like junk, walks like junk, and talks like junk...it's junk. – less

Exciting, fast-paced and technologically innovative company
Sales Planning Analyst (Former Employee), Southlake, TX – July 6, 2012
Pros: worked from home 2 days a week
Cons: long commute
Approving payment of invoices for the Sabre offices in the east. Communicating with Vice Presidents of several offices to resolve invoice related issues. When the disbursements department transitioned to the use of a company purchase card, I was instrumental in training the east coast office support staff in its use. Reducing the volume of paper invoices – more... through the use of this PCard as well as purchase requisitions was a very rewarding part of this job. Being the go-to person for the support staff in the east offices was a welcome responsibility. Preparing appropriation requests was a bit challenging but extremely educational for me. I loved the experience. – less

Productive and serious working enviroment with a lot of culture.
Data Service Analyst (Former Employee), Montevideo – May 19, 2012
Pros: comfortable environment, great supervisors and flexibilty.
Cons: at time stressful atmosphere.
A typical day at work would start at 7am. I learned how to properly use all the global and internet distribution systems the company worked with. The management team was very cooperative. My co-workers were all friendly and working together with them was easy. The hardest part of my job was at times the stress of getting the work done on time. The most – more... enjoyable time was the whole day when at times of not that much stress work was fun. I liked going to work. I enjoyed it. – less

Sr. Software Quality Engineer / Analyst / Tester (Current Employee), Southlake, TX – April 24, 2012
Pros: great benefits
Cons: not a lot of pressure for exellence.
While there are many different lines of business within Sabre, the company as a whole is pretty easy going. Some areas are a challenge and some aren't. There is lots of opportunity if you'd like to advance or just remain below the radar.

Uważam Sabre Holdings za dobrego pracodawcę
specjalista - obsługa klienta z jęz. niemieckim (Former Employee), Kraków – January 9, 2013
Pros: prywatna opieka medyczna
