Key responsibilities include
Case management and advocacy for shelter and former shelter clients
Assist clients with immediate safety needs and refers them to community services and resources
Knowledgeable of all up to date resources and their requirements
Plan and executive Living skills and parenting groups within the shelter
Complete Initial Client Intake
Open and Close client files
Upkeep and report shelter statistics
The successful candidate should have a passion working with Domestic Violence Victims and their children, have the ability to manage residents in a crisis situations, be able to work with all populations and be non-judgmental. This candidate will also be able to make resource referrals, maintain client files, and gather statistical data for grant purposes.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree in Human Services or related field. Must possess excellent oral and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s License and working vehicle.
Bi-lingual- Spanish, is perferred.
This position will require working two nights per week, 1:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
