Go in collect windshields or door glasses contact customers and plan your work schedule. Each day is completely different as the vehicles you get are different so installing or removing glass can be tricky but still very fun especially if you have a love for cars as i do.

Decent Job
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee), Chandler, AZSeptember 4, 2014
Pros: good pay, snack bar
Cons: strict attendance policy, short breaks
This job is a decent job for anyone who wants to sit comfortably in a long term position. I personally do not enjoy sitting at one place for multiple hours staring at a computer screen and not having much chance to rest my voice. The overall environment makes you feel like part of something larger, like a sheep in a herd. There isn't much focus on your – more... part, you almost feel as if you were gone nobody would really notice or care. – less

Safelite is a fun job, it would be nice it we didn't have to read from a script but the day usually depends on how the call volume is.

Field (Former Employee), Field, OHAugust 6, 2014
Pros: some of the people
Cons: some of the people
Too many changes, no support, trying to hit a moving target. Little to no opportunities for advancement. Too much like high school with the cliques and everyone looking to get their check mark so they can justify their existence.

A great company to work for!
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee), Columbus, OHJuly 10, 2014
Pros: extra hours/overtime offered when available, flexible schedules where they work with you
Cons: no healthcare offered for part-time
Safelite is a wonderful company to be an employee for. They are very willing to work around personal schedules, benefits are offered for full time associates. In the call center, in the referral part, we take glass claims on behalf of insurance companies as a third party claims administrator. Training is very thorough and the department has great trainers – more... that are very patient and helpful. Management is very friendly, helpful and do their job correctly. The hardest part of the job can be the difficult calls where callers are upset because of something out of our hands. The most enjoyable part of the job is helping people and making their day better! – less

Working at Safelite
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Chandler, AZJune 27, 2014
Basically I took incoming calls for people who need to order their autoglass, whether it was chipped or needed to be replaced all together. I would then get their location and send out the workers to come assist that customer. It was an all around decent job, but I was living with my parents and eventually had to leave the nest, which is what I did. – more... It gave me more call center experience and of course more customer service experience. I love working with people and am natural on the phone. – less

Customer service behind the phone.
Tele (Current Employee), COJune 13, 2014
Pros: benefits health care
Cons: weekends
Typical day consists of answering inbound calls. Resolving scheduling conflict, payment arrangments and insurance claims.

I learned that the customer isnt always right.

Managment is always there when needed and there is plenty of them.

Coworkers are great team players for the most part.

Hardest part is controlling the stress from back to back calls

Friendly co-workers, good for a student just out of school, still living at home.
Repair spec (Former Employee), New YorkMay 20, 2014
Pros: got hands on training to repair chips & cut windshields out.
Co-workers are great, will help out and work as a team without even asking.
Managers don't tell you that you have to work 6 days a week, Sunday included, with one day off during the week. Starting pay is low, 12.50 an hour with only 35-37 hours a week, for someone that is on there own & doesn't have someone else in the household to help pay the bills. – more... No pay raise after training. Have to sign a contract that says if you leave you owe them 6000.00. – less

Good place to work fun productive
CSR (Former Employee), Chandler, AZMay 19, 2014
Pros: made great friends and learned a lot
Cons: to much stress took a toll on my brian
I learned a lot working for safelite, I learn customer service how to treat people and work around the problems. I learned to work my way around the problem to better assist the customer. The managers and co-workers were so easy to work with they helped and made things so much easier. Everyone there was always ready to help each other. But I think the – more... hardest part of that job was dealing with the angry customers with them yelling at you when you know its not your fault. But you always had to problems solve and make them the only problem is that we weren't able to make every customer happy. – less

Everything!
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee), Columbus, OhioMay 9, 2014
Pros: global company
Cons: management, pay structure, culture, advancement...etc.
Managment in the Columbus, Ohio call center and more and likely the Arizona location is difficult to work with but only if your are not in the in. Call-center co-workers are a valuable resource than management, but be aware of those who will step on your back to please management and try to get ahead. This will only work for those who are appealing – more... in appearance and who have or attend the major university in Columbus, Ohio. If managemant is still the same as it was several years ago; sorry for those who are minorities and those of a different age, because the glass ceiling is a reflection of the ground floor.

Just drive by on outer belt 270 in Columbus, Ohio and you will see that same old sign that says, "WE'RE HIRING," which has been out there for several years and that should tell you a lot about the company and culture.

It's a shame that Safelite AutoGlass rid themselves of good people from the call center several years ago so that upper management can pay themselves more than call-center money makers. – less

Repair Specialist (Former Employee), Fresno, CAMay 3, 2014
Pros: great benefits and a sense of freedom.
Cons: not much room for advancement.
I loved working for this company. The work environment was fun, and there was a sense of freedom while working here. You feel as if you are trusted by your boss to get the job done and we received great benefits.
