Utilities Operator (Former Employee) –  Valdosta, GAAugust 19, 2017
A typical day at Saft would include a quick briefing of the nights work load. Placement of persons in assigned areas. For the most part the job was fairly easy, the hardest part was keeping machinery running in order to make production quotas.
Pros
love the hrs.
Cons
Laid-off a lot

Battery Assembly/Cell finishing (Former Employee) –  Valdese, NCJune 25, 2017
Most departments worked thru an assembly line and rotate every hour or break time. This gives all people knowledge of all aspects of the assembly of the battery packs. We had a line leader for every department which was always helpful. Hardest part was handling some of the small parts for assembly and the fact that had to be very careful and watchful cause one wrong move could cause a fire. Loved the fact that we moved around and didn't do same thing in a whole day.

Not enough space to describe the carnage that has happened here.
Plant is on the verge of closing due to zero leadership, poor quality of product and lack of sales. It is a real shame.

Battery Technician (Former Employee) –  Jacksonville, FLDecember 5, 2016
Overtime available. Advancement non-existent. Started with a temp service. Was told over and over again that permanent employment was going to be offered. Worked there for over a year when they laid off all temp employees.

Ive worked here five years and love the job. The job always brings new and exciting challenges everyday. The people i work with are smart and make working at saft fun and exciting. The hardest part of my job at saft is making sure everything is done in safe manner, so everyone goes home at night.

Been here over 10 years. Recent management changes has caused extremely poor working conditions. People who are fully capable to do multiple jobs are now being treated like they dont know anything. Zero job security at the moment. Bonuses used to be good now they are based on the mood of the GM.

Good co-workers
