Position Overview

Sagitec is seeking a creative and energetic Training Coordinator to fill a position in Little Canada, MN. This person will partner with three other Training Coordinators to plan, implement, and evaluate training programs for Sagitec’s clients and staff. Activities may include:

  • Working with clients and project teams to identify training and documentation needs and requirements
  • Developing and writing training program plans based on the needs analysis
  • Presenting developed training program plans to clients and project teams
  • Identifying resources needs to implement the training program
  • Working with marketing to sell learning and communication services
  • Developing learning materials for both instructor-led and e-learning events
  • Developing practice activities, games, and other retention activities for both instructor-led and e-learning events
  • Scheduling and coordinating events including flights, hotel, training venues, and additional resources
  • Facilitating online and in-person training events for staff, clients, and client stakeholders/customers
  • Evaluating training materials and events
  • Assessing learners knowledge and retention
  • Supporting other Training Coordinators on their projects and programs

Sagitec develops custom software for public (government) pension agencies. Headquarters in Little Canada, Minnesota, Sagitec has offices in Minnesota, Denver, Kansas, and two locations in India. Sagitec currently works with 14 clients spread across the nation.

Department Description
The Communications and Learning Team is fun and energetic. We pride ourselves on creativity and innovation. It is our mission to ensure learners are armed with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform at exemplary levels. However, we work in a heavily regulated industry with very tight deadlines; therefore our innovation and creativity must be pragmatic, feasible, and add high amounts of value to our customers and staff.

Basic Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Must have a four-year degree (Bachelors) from an accredited institution
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience working in a corporate setting
  • Must be able to travel 40% annually (travel always requires multiple overnight stays)
  • Understands basic project management such as creating plans, assigning resources to those plans, following up with resources to identify issues/risks early, and reporting on progress
  • Experience presenting to audiences 10-25 people

Advanced / Preferred Qualifications

  • Training and communication experience is a plus
  • Any technology background in a corporate setting is a plus (because we develop software so training about the custom software we develop which is different from client to client)
  • Any social media background in a corporate setting is a plus (because we believe social media is starting to and will continue to impact communications and training so we may need to leverage this knowledge in the future)
  • Certified Performance and Learning Professional (CPLP) from the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) not required, but additional consideration will be given to candidates with this certification
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Change management knowledge and experience is a plus (because our software implementations can vastly change organizations resulting in change management and buy-in being half of the battle in training)
  • Pension and / or insurance experience is a plus
  • Government experience is a plus

We currently use the following software products. Experience with these products will be helpful to any person filling this position:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint (Expert Level) This is most important Advance functions include master slides, animations, embedding media such as videos – the ability to make PPT presentations that look more like interactive website than PPT presentations.
  • Microsoft Project
  • Adobe Captivate
  • Articulate
  • Moodle (as a teacher or administrator – not as a student)
  • Microsoft SharePoint
