It's so hard to get serious about your work with all the drama going on in the lab. People are allowed to play games, create cliques and demean the people around them with little interference from management. A former co-worker went hog wild because she didn't like the reasons I decided to take PTO. We actually had the most hostile worker in the lab get promoted because he basically threatened that if he didn't get the job, he was quitting. It worked! If you like drama, this is the place for you.

Great Ppl, Not innovative nor open to new ideas, change for betterment
Pharmacist (Former Employee), BaltimoreNovember 19, 2012
Pros: staff who truely care.
Cons: set in their ways beyond any innovative, creative intelligence.
The ususual community hospital experience, good for someone looking for an entry-level position. People who work here clearly have good hearts and really care about serving their clients, the patients. However, there is a brick wall when it comes to innovation. Don't let it fool you that one of their mission attributes is "creativity" because they are – more... closed when there is a new suggestion. Definitely lacking in middle management support and becoming even more so these days because of budgetary issues. nTakes years literally to even get management to embrace or entertain ANY idea to try out for even nickel and dime changes that may save money, defeat safety issues, or streamline service. I'm sorry to report this, but someone has to. – less
