Registered Nurse (Current Employee) –  Shawnee, OKFebruary 8, 2018
I’ve worked here for four years and I have loved it. We are a close knit family. The doctors are amazing and we genuinely have each other’s backs. The teamwork “vibe” is encouraged throughout the whole hospital.
Pros
Discounted meals.

A positive environment where you are taught to gain experience. The job tasks were not difficult once you learn the process. Basically, you go in are, you are expected to complete your work duties.

Operation Manager, Sodexo (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILOctober 11, 2017
Management never acknowledge their employees. It was a very strict place where you had no voice. I, as a manager tried to keep moral up for the employees, but was always stopped. With the companies that I have worked for are always based on the values and believes they have

Unit Secretary (Former Employee) –  SICU/post surgicalSeptember 7, 2017
Worked with physicians interpreting written orders and sending the information to nursed, pharmacy, lab, radiology, etc. Answered phones and greeted visitors. Set nurse and aide pair patient assignments and worked with staffing. Worked with a case manager to arrange step down or rehab care for patients. In SICU assisted with baths and respiratory care with respiratory therapist. Floated to other floors when necessary. First job in health care learned the basics of being a unit coordinator. Management was great, always considerate and worked to keep a enjoyable environment.
Pros
excellent co-workers

exposed to stressful situations in SICU

A community hospital for the residents and employees
It has potential for learning. Management can be greatly improved. Not much room for upward mobility. The culture of the work place is pleasant. The hardest thing about the job is gaining respect from management. The most enjoyable is working with the patients.
Pros
The patients
Cons
The management

Nurse Apprentice (Former Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKAugust 5, 2017
Not a new facility, or the most up-to-date, but genuine. The culture is contagious, employees truly enjoy their jobs. If our family wasn't transferred, I would definitely still be working for them. Staffing is, like everywhere, short.
Pros
The Employees & Management
Cons
Short breaks if any, high patient ratios

Good job and i was good at it and loved coming to work. I made mistakes that I would not make again and i would put much more importance in the job. Did always get along with the people who felt they were better but that's not how i look at things were all there to accomplish the same outcome were a team.
Pros
your own office staff to help you if needed.
Cons
it is a very fast paced long your working job that didn't always fit inn with the rest of your life.

Building a new facility with great people.
Manager of IT Medical Imaging (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILMay 31, 2017
The day begins and ends with a multi-discipline check-in keeping the organizing abreast and ahead of an potential issues.

I learned how to better think through planning of projects, purchasing of Technology & Equipment, critical thinking and problem solving.

While the hospital is focused in community health, it still manages to think Huge. Saint Anthony Hospital is on the move and building a state of the future facility where the focus is the delivery of great quality community care. Focal Point Chicago is an exciting concept that is taking hold in the Little Village community, but is reaching far beyond its local boundaries and making a great impact in Chicago's Southwest.

It won't be too long after that Focal Point Chicago will be the model for future community hospitals in the US.
Pros
New Facility Project, Technology, Great People.
Cons
Healthcare is not an easy business.

RN Staff Nurse (Current Employee) –  Oklahoma City, OKApril 28, 2017
the most enjoyable part of my job is being a witness to the healing process of the mind and body. the hardest part of my job is allowing people to voice their right to refuse treatment. it is very hard when you see that treatment would give that person a better quality of life.

Claims to live and work by its mission
Wellness (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILMarch 13, 2017
The community development departments' management team lacks actually "living and working by its mission" in which they so promote. Staff are a close knit team, within teams, and do have the family culture atmosphere at the Wellness site. However, no guidance, vague answers or support, political favoritism, and unorganized leaders. There were a couple managers who did provide support and guidance, who were not the direct managers, which was unfortunate.
Job security based on who you know, not what you know. Politics and political affiliation is what runs this small hospital.
Could be a great organization if upper management actually believed and lived by the mission they promote and tell the team to live by.
Pros
Food, cafeteria, close knit teams
Cons
Upper management does not live by the organizations mission

Part-time Audiologist (Former Employee) –  Chicago, ILMarch 4, 2017
Very nice people, good working conditions, good teammates. If you can avoid the director of rehab, it's a good place to work. Really appreciated having benefits while only being part time.
