Home Health Nurse (Former Employee) –  Russellville, ARSeptember 5, 2017
Fast paced home health agency that was part of a hospital system. This home health agency is no longer in operation. It was sold and has been through several names.

Stressful, management is condescending & judgmental. The units are usually short-handed because of high turnover. The cafeteria is pretty good.
Nurse (Former Employee) –  Russellville, ARAugust 26, 2017
The management is out of touch with their employees. They treat employees like children. There is a big staff shortage. Insurance only covers St. Mary's affiliate hospitals - two or three in Arkansas. If you don't live close to one, do not prefer the hospital or need a complicated procedure done, you're out of luck. Most employees are friendly. The cafeteria food is pretty good, if you have time to eat.
Pros
Friendly employees, decent salary
Cons
Limited facilities per insurance, patronizing management.

If you like to be treated like garbage, then this is the place for you
Mental Health Technician (Former Employee) –  Russellville, ARAugust 22, 2017
Managment and directors do not care about you. The nurses complain because you do not do their work for them and talk badly about patients and employees. They favor certain employees.
Pretty much everybody walks all over you. Human resources is just a joke. They are rude and judgemental and think that they are better than everybody else. You work long hours and overtime for little pay. You get a 30 minute lunch break or any break onky if there is time. The health insurance would be good if you could afford it.
Pros
3 12 hour shifts
Cons
Bad pay, poor environment

Working in rehab is great because of the team
RN Staff - Rehabilitation Unit (Current Employee) –  Russellville, ARAugust 15, 2017
Good group of nurse's to work with. Feel like you are part of the family. Of course then on some days you may feel like the red headed step-child. Staffing issues are a problem, not enough nurses to give care.
Pros
team work
Cons
Short staffed

Love the people I worked with but management needs a little work
PT Rehab Aide (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVJune 7, 2017
A typical day at work was arriving on Saturdays and Sundays at 6 am and working long hours for little pay, no benefits, and no recognition. I really enjoyed working with the nurses and other staff at St. Mary's however I think that management needs to work towards communication with employees, recognition, and sufficient monetary compensation.
Pros
great staff
Cons
low pay, poor communication between staff and management

Environmental Services Technician (Current Employee) –  Russellville, ARMay 20, 2017
The pay is good for what you do. Insurance is pretty good, cheap. Management is only good in a few areas, but not for this department. Short handed most days resulting in being over worked. The turn over rate is awful because people don't like to clean up after people. If you come in, do your job right, and don't start drama, then it's actually a very easy and nice job.
Pros
Benefits, full-time, raises, shift differential, set shift
Cons
Management, turn over rate, messy patients and staff

Buyer/Procurement Specialist (Former Employee) –  Russellville, ARMay 17, 2017
Was given the opportunity to learn and grow off of what I already knew. They encourage you to learn new things and to grow as a person as well as professionally. The hardest part of the job here is definitely realizing that you can't make everyone happy 100% of the time.

Incompetent managers (mine) that save each others' positions driving the business under.
Business Analyst for HR and Perf Improvement Dept (Former Employee) –  3rd floorFebruary 23, 2017
The most hostile and incompetent environment I have been a part of in my career.
I can argument it anytime with very precise examples that are actually public knowledge.
Anytime!
Pros
Good food at the cafeteria, nice people in the departments I had to work with (not in!)
Cons
Incompetence.

staff thanks you for working in thier units. Very friendly and helpful staff members
Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse (Current Employee) –  Reno, NVFebruary 20, 2017
The staff thanks people for working in their units. Staff is friendly and helpful to other staff. They train staff well, and don't require staff to float everywhere in hospital, only selected place. Work can be hard but is fulfilling, and staff works directly with patients and parents in NICU, informing them of changes in care and involving them in care of neonate.
Pros
flexible hours
Cons
sometimes no work in MB department

Distribution technician (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVFebruary 3, 2017
Overall the distribution tech positionwas very fun to learn and im glad i was able to have that experience thought it could have been better. Training more, more people to work with. Rarely any respect from the rest of the departments . They didnt make the schedule fair either. The new person is all alone on the weekends supplying thewhole hospital while doing other errands as well as the daily duties needed. Stressful environment. Glad i had the chance to work as a distribution tech, but on to the next!!
Pros
Learning all the tools in the hospital.
Cons
Solo work most of the time, not much help from the rest of the crew. You worked on your lunch. 'Teachers pet'

Thinks you're a thief
Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Russellville, ARJanuary 11, 2017
Why would you need a credit check for a job unless they think that people with bad credit are also thieves? Not to mention that it's just for a receptionist position. You should be worried about customer service.

I worked with at great team that was very supportive of each other.

EVS Tech (Former Employee) –  Russellville, ARSeptember 12, 2016
Director is the worst person to work for. He goes through employees. Doesn't care about employees. If you don't go to break on time you get scolded.

extremely busy under new management
Patient Access Rep (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVAugust 30, 2016
St Mary's was a great place to work until the company got sold. New management came in and restructured the entire hospital, laying off multiple long time employees. My co-workers were amazing, but the management did not encourage a good job work/life balance. Simple things such as drinking water was discouraged, security constantly watched us from video cameras and took still shots and passed them around the hospital. I didn't learn much of anything because management did not include us in the daily advancements of the department

Great place to work
Patient Account Registrar (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVJune 3, 2016
I was given such an amazing and exciting opportunity to work for Saint Mary's. A typical day at work was always busy with patient registration. I learned so many new things about how the hospital works, and how the department was run. Co-workers were always so nice and friendly and helpful. The hardest part of the job was when insurances wouldn't run in the system and you had to manually call to verify it.
