LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) (Former Employee) – Benton, AR – December 5, 2017
Working here was enjoyable, most of other employees were friendly, eager to assist others and ready to answer any questions about the daily responsiblties, routines. Good interaction and cooperation with "sister unit", able to change work areas as needed. Usually "laid back" atmosphere, but always on alert for incidents/interactions between Pts./staff, Pt/Pt. Atmosphere is "family-like".
good working enviroment/ interactions between staff
Patient Care Technician (Current Employee) – Benton, AR – October 17, 2017
Too much drama amongst staff, it's like a high school clique. That being said I really love some of my coworkers, and I can handle most nights. And the House supervisor on week nights is awesome to work with. Nurses will only pass meds and chart, everything else is expected to be done by the PCTs Too much work for such terrible pay. Day shift PCTs make $9/hr (barely above minimum wage for some very dirty work and rude staff) Night shift PCTS get 20% more so $11/hr, but also have to do the work of a secretary since there isn't one on nights. Also you are not allowed to be on your phone (even though you're an adult) and you're there 12 hours. You get one 30 minute break, and (not garunteed) 2 -15 minute breaks, unless you're a smoker, then you get more breaks than hours spent actually working.
Most coworkers, always can pick up extra hours
Pay, too much work, bossy staff, treated like a child, breaks
great place to work, one on one interaction with patients.
Outpatient Admission Clerk (Former Employee) – Benton, AR – September 27, 2017
This was a great place to work, love the atmosphere and getting to know the patients and family. Everyone was kind and i loved helping people. The hours were not great and the pay was way below what it should be.
Pre-arrival Admitting (Former Employee) – Benton, AR – August 15, 2017
this hospital is a joke! poor management awful hours to work they fire you at the drop of a hat but some people can break rules and get by with it --if you are the favorite you are ok but if not look out! I wouldn't take my dog to this hospital---usually if u come here u leave with a tag on your toe!
Perks: they bring outside vendors to offer purchases which may be deducted from payroll checks
Surgical Director (Current Employee) – Benton, AR – July 31, 2017
The perk of working here is: they bring outside vendors to offer purchases which may be deducted from payroll checks. The conflict is evolving from a small company to a larger corporation with many changes the organization was not ready for. Communication from management sometimes is delayed and causes a reaction versus a proactive response. They are constantly trying to improve perception of the buy-out and the focus is now on the delivery of care to patients and becoming a high reliability organization.
Access Coordinator (Former Employee) – Benton, AR – July 28, 2017
I enjoyed working here, but for someone with a degree, the money was aweful. The cafeteria had awesome food so I do miss that. If you have a high school education then this is the place to start off working at. Even if you have experience the pay rate is still the same
Junior Volunteer (Former Employee) – Benton, AR – June 27, 2017
This job consists of business managent, cleaning lobbies and work spaces, escorting patients to and from various locations around the hospital, and making these guests feel as comfortable as possible in a setting that can often be intimidating.
Was an honor to have worked on such a great Admin Team.
Vice President of Human Resources (Former Employee) – Benton, AR – May 10, 2017
As part of the hospital's senior management team, I learned so much and appreciated the work and dedication of the staff. It is very unfortunate that healthcare in general has experienced so many cut backs and reimbursement issues.
enjoyed working with great co-workers and HR staff was wonderful
Registered Nurse (Current Employee) – Benton, AR – March 1, 2017
This is a smaller hospital in a suburb of Little Rock. Management is friendly and tries their best to help out staff as much as they can. Full time benefits and staff nurse pay is not as good as larger hospitals.
