We are looking for a full-time Logistics Coordinator to be responsible for managing multiple functions within the organization's logistics department.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
*Will be responsible for 4 key areas of freight: Production, Customer, International Customer and International Ocean Freight to the US.
*The freight process includes: ensuring that goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner according to customer requirements, planning the transportation route and payload, selecting the mode of transportation, tendering the order for transportation, and tracking the shipment from pick up through delivery.
*International freight will include basic knowledge of EXPORT SHIPPING documents, including NAFTA, TM-11, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin, etc.
*Re-route freight as needed to meet demands and minimize costs. Assembles load fragments into consolidated loads thus balancing freight savings, service and contractual / legal requirements
*Communicates fulfillment status and / or issues within the Organization to points including Supply Planning, Logistics Management, Sales, and Customer Service;
*Strong knowledge of “Less Than Truck Load” L.T.L.
*Performs administrative tasks consisting of invoice approvals, routing, tracking and completing BOL’s, Pick-up Sheets and related documents.
*Negotiating Claim/Shortages and processing with both the carrier and/or third-party warehouses.
*Drive company vehicle and operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks as needed.
*Perform other duties as needed and directed by reporting manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
*This position requires an AA Degree with 3-5 years of experience in the logistics field.
*LTL, temperature controlled logistics experience preferred.
*Strong customer service skills with proven ability to develop strong client relationships both internally and externally.
*Excellent interpersonal and communications skills effective at all levels.
*Prior experience with OSHA regulations and safety training a plus
*Strong understanding and working experience with DOT regulations.
*Knowledge of SAP by Demand, preferred with strong data entry skills.
*Strong knowledge of auditing freight invoices and related documents.
*Excellent computer skills with Excel experience a must
