Beginning of the day release telephone lines to be answered and check email and fax machine. Start working on documents or claims. Next, check on mail incoming and outgoing. I have learned a lot in Finance Department that there are deadlines that have to be met by state law and also getting a claims entered. My co-workers we always got together to make sure some needed help to get caught up with work if gotten behind. The hardest part of my job is handling the providers when they call mad because they didn't get a check due to not having enough info on claim forms or enrolling patient in system. The most enjoyable part of the job is when all deadlines have been met by everyone.
