After merge between Sanofi and Aventis everything has been changed and made worst situation for Aventis emplyees and forced them to leave.

Was an okay place to gain experience in drug discovery. Closing of the large research site soured many employees.

Typical day at work is fun, you interact with user over the phone or in person you help them out and resolved any issues they had. I learn there is no I on TEAM and also being patient is the best thing to do in the computer field.

Productive and friendly workplace, was not bad......gain lot's of knowkledge in general office duties and became an expert in the filing system and office equipment.

I loved getting paid and taking long vacations, but the culture of this company sucked the life right out of me. It's really unfortunate because it was a great company for so many years. When sanofi bought Aventis it went straight to the toilet and it never even came close to recovering. There are more people in this company on short term disability – more...  for mental health issues than there are people working in general. Such a shame! – less

I enjoyed my work, liked the people I worked with. All departments worked as a team to complete tasks. I felt management was supportative of personnel.

As a representative I use to feel proud to be a part of an organization that seemed to have it all. Great products a pipeline and the feeling of security. The pharmaceuatical industry is going through bad times but Sanofi-Aventis has to be the worst. The company has had down sizing for the past five years, morale is at an all time low. There are no – more...  real products in the pipeline so the future does not look bright or secure. The company is unethical and you are rewarded on who likes you best and not on your skills. Take the job for what it is worth, a paycheck and maybe some experience. It will not be something you will stay with. – less

It is a job where you are almost always on the road because you have a huge area to cover. sometimes you had to work late at night for no compensation.
The management done correctly and the supervisor didn't apply the company values which were extremely good.
the greatest part about it though is meeting people and introducing the products to the clients – more...  and achieving the sales – less

Great company to work for but unfortunatly they closed the Bridgewater site. Great benefits and an excellent opportunity to learn.

if you are not part of the "in" crowd...you will be phased out. do not work for them

This company gave me 10 very happy years. There was a great need for restructuring. We had way to many reps calling on one doctor for the same drug. Their pipeline is non extistent. I was caught in the lay offs. They gave us a great package! once they get their business together I am sure that it will be a great company again. There wasn't a better job in the entire pharmaceutical industry than the Institutional sales rep position at sanofi. The training was excellent and so was the product portfolio. Management was unable to keep this team intact as it had repeatedly promised to back in 2008/09. We were told the co-licensing agreements were being worked on and that our future – more...  was bright. It is now 2012 and that entire sales force is gone. Company soon to be facing patent expirations on Lantus which is their biggest seller. – less

sanofi-aventis has gone through so many changes with no direction at the helm. The company is very reactive and not at all proactive to changes in the marketplace. It use to be a good company prior to all the mergers. Extremely difficult for advancement unless you're in the "network".......

This company use to be a great place to work. Representatives are now just going through the motions. To many lay offs in the last 4 years has created an environment of mis-trust between management and employees. The company just announced that it will elminate their pension plan. Product pipe line is also limited.

Opportunities to build business by analyzing marketplace and creating strategic plans. Focused on selling to healthcare systems.

I worked with a small team of about 6 or 7 other colleagues under the IT department on a team that handled the companies IT equipment. It required us to keep equipment stock up to date and required us to track the equipment to specific employees.
