An interesting, challenging experience. Because they are based in Spain but have offices in different countries, you get to work with different team and gaining experience!

Santander used to be a great place to work. But with the current mergings of other organizations, there's been a lot of resulting chaos and budget cuts.
Pros
great pay
Cons
increasing employee costs, loss of perks, chaotic environment

Benefits Manager (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXJanuary 25, 2017
During my 4 years there I had 6 supervisors and only 1 left on their own - the rest were let go. They promote you but then do not back fill your old position so have to do both. Culture very hard to work in.

Loan Specialist II (Current Employee) –  North Richland Hills, TXJanuary 25, 2017
A typical day of work consists of both inbound and outbound phone calls to and from various parties, depending on what the nature of the business is. Management is extremely caring towards their employees and treat them with equality and respect. The workplace culture is awesome. The managers try to foster an environment in which each individual gets along well with others, and works together to further benefit the business as a whole. The hardest part of the job is the volume of work. It can be very steady at times, depending on the time of year and on the current state of credit policies held by the company. The most enjoyable part of the job is definitely the people. Again, it is an awesome environment to work in.

Third Party Risk Management Analysr (Current Employee) –  Fort Worth, TXJanuary 24, 2017
Great home life work life balance. Job security is awful, impossible to promote. No transparency between associates and executives. Turn around in the risk department is high hence the feeling of job insecurity.

Collections Account Manager (Former Employee) –  North Richland Hills, TXJanuary 17, 2017
This job was too annual. You had to ask to go to the restroom as well as take a break and when your shift was over you had to leave immediately. They treated you like a stranger

Great Networking Environment
Late Stage Collector (Current Employee) –  North Richland Hills, TXJanuary 14, 2017
In this company you will meet a lot of people from all walks of life making the environment a great place for networking. You will stay in collections for a very long time unless your hired in elsewhere. It is hard to elevate in this company and the PTO policy is sad. You will barely get time off.
Pros
Decent Attendance Policy
Cons
Hard to Elevate in Company

I enjoy working at Santander I been there for 5years in June, I work in the reinstatement department and a typical day. At work is making sure the customer was able to pick up there cars. And also get customers back in there car at a reasonable prices but overall Santander is a good and fast pace environment.
Cons
Two 15mins break and a hr unch and personals

Specialized Services Manager (Former Employee) –  North Richland Hills, TXDecember 8, 2016
Overall SCUSA is a good work environment. The customer's is always first and the employees are sometimes not appreciated for the tasks they complete. The pay is comparable for the industry, but the policies are strict in regards to attendance. Some times it is who you know that help you advance opposed to your work merit. Overall it is a good company to get your feet wet in the auto industry.
Pros
1 hour lunches
Cons
employees do not accrue time off as often to have a good work life balance.
