Area Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering stellar sales results in California and other Western States. The ideal candidate has experience of selling technology related products and services to the AEC industry with focus on the Construction sector. We are looking for an individual who has the ability to create winning relationships with potential clients and can foster long-term sales opportunities with existing clients. A person who is focused on build a winning connection every time!
- Identify potential new client’s business opportunities for company’s products and services.
- Lead generation through personal relationships, database research and cold-calling efforts.
- Present value proposition to customer and possess strong negotiation skills to close deals.
- Track, develop and maintain clients and project leads utilizing CRM tools like SalesForce.
- Work with the President and Project Managers of the firm to develop company’s workload forecasts of booked and proposed workloads.
- Make direct contacts with leads, prospects, clients (who are prospects) and coordinate others for meetings, presentations, interviews etc.
- Demonstrate strong collateral generation skills that show good research capabilities, ability to gather and organize information; prepare formal presentations and other collateral materials.
- Develop and maintain project profiles and information on company’s web site and CRM system.
- Communicate and follow-up with all past clients through correspondence, calls and meetings.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Has a deep understanding of use of technology, BIM and IT Systems within the AEC industry. - - * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and current technical developments that effect target markets.
- Highly motivated self-driven individuals with great personality and attitude to influence senior level executives at the top firms in the AEC industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of business development, sales, account management or marketing experience
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working within Architectural, Engineering, Construction
- A demonstrated track record of creating new business opportunities
- Exceptional inter-personal relationship building via focused communication and solution-based problem solving skills
- Proficiency with a CRM contact software ( Sales Force preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated experience in the preparation of proposals or presentations.
- Must be free to travel as defined by sales and business development opportunities/needs throughout western United States.
