SaskPower is committed to informing customers about potential dangers created during the installation and operation of gas and electrical equipment. This responsibility includes gas and electrical inspections. These inspections ensure the safe installation of gas and electrical equipment, including grain dryers and equipment installed in residential – more... homes and cottages that are connected to natural and propane gas systems. Through inspections, a permit system and safety education, we support the safe use of electrical and gas equipment among our customers, contractors, suppliers and employees.
It's a job that takes our Gas and Electrical Inspections staff to the four corners of the province. Each year, they inspect aproximately 60,000 gas and electrical installations.
SaskPower informs the public about electrical safety. SaskPower also informs the public how to use propane safely and the importance of regular servicing of heating equipment in homes and businesses by a qualified professional. We use a variety of information tools - including bill stuffers, public service announcements, brochures and advertising - to build awareness of safety issues.
We also partner with the Saskatchewan Safety Council to support their youth safety team, the Power Pac. This group of energetic teenagers delivers rural and urban safety messages with a personal touch, speaking to thousands of students at schools across the province each year.
We're committed to ensuring that every employee and contractor, every industrial user and business operator, every farmer and city dweller - and every child - in Saskatchewan knows that when it comes to electricity, safety is a priority. – less – More from ZoomInfo »
