Floor Supervisor, Lawrence, KS - January 6, 2017
I worked for Sauer-Danfoss for 9 years. The first couple were a bit rough, being a new facility but we had an amazing plant manager who truly cared about everyone. During economic struggles, we had a few temporary layoffs, which sucked, but management was always there to help people get set up with unemployment during those times. There was always support from the office and even on of my direct supervisors would come out to the production line and help my team out when we were struggling. Not too often do you see a manager who will get in the trenches with the production people and lend a hand. I also really felt that management, overall, valued the opinions and suggestions of employees. I can't tell you how many changes actually occurred from just my suggestions alone. Unfortunately, after the 2008 economic crisis, our location was never able to recover and had to close its doors. I do know that the Plant Manager did transfer to the Ames, IA location and if I lived in the area, I would gladly work for him again.
