Part Time Retail Work
Stock Clerk, Office, Cashier (Current Employee), Youngstown, OH –
This a good place to work if you are looking for your first job or supplemental income. I had the opportunity to gain communication, time management, and problem solving skills. A typical day includes keeping the shelves full with items, clearing the shelves of empty boxes, and making sure things are neat for the next day. Customer service skills are – more...  definitely are apart of the job too. – less

Although you would encounter irate customers daily, the management staff and crew always made the best of each day. Was an easy going workplace, with very friendly staff and easy promotions available.

Fun and cool place to work
Cashier/Stocker (Former Employee), Tallahassee, FL –
A typical dauy at work is mainly spent on the register ringing up customers. I learned how to cut meat and desifer witch fruit was going bad. Management is ok they'll work with what you need. The co-workers are alwas fun to be around. The hardest part of the job is summertime getting carts from outside.

Greatful to be employed but.....
Cashier (Current Employee), Philadelphia, PA –
Pros: get gift cards at times
Cons: no employee recognition, lowpay more hours, more pay less hours
Its work that all I can say............ but this company is not the best place to work. No union alot unfair practices. Slow or no chance of growth. No one under management gets full time or vaction time. Alot of paper work is filled out saying how you (the employee) have no rights to talk about practices outside of the job makes one feel like you are – more...  signing rights away to have a job.

This year they gave out vaction checks but a mistake was made and they made employees pay back vaction pay they were willing to give out. Which they take an hour of pay or more away from checks. Meetings that need to be attended on your days off or at times that your not schuduled to work . So one can be a no call no show on a day off.

But this could be a stepping stone for another job. – less

Depends on the owner of the unit you work for...mine 2 thumbs down
Asst. Manager (Former Employee), somewhere in, TX –
Pros: meeting new people
Cons: low pay
If your not running around trying to find a way to fix equipment the owner doesn't want to fix...your running around stocking cleaning ordering checking of customers...you don't have time to stand around there is always something to be done for little to no pay so you loss employees hand over fist cause if it slow you have to send them home they don't – more...  get enough hours to support their families...so it all depends on which store your at...check with the employees at the location before you apply – less

Calm and fun
Cashier/Stocker (Former Employee), Cheboygan, MI –
Pros: unstressful, relaxing enviroment
Cons: not challenging
Typical day at work was straightening the store, stocking the shelves, and ringing up the customers. Also making sure they can find what they need. Management is ok at this store. Co-workers were great when i was there. We always had fun. There really wasnt anything hard about the job or challenging. The most enjoyable part of the job was that there – more...  was hardly any stress, and your family comes first as well as your health. – less

Very Unprofessional work place
Cashier (Former Employee), Chicago, IL –
Cons: no benifits, . no hours, no way to move forward with the company
Manager's are on the phone instead of doing there job, u call them for something they have an attitude like the cashiers can control the system from locking up.. just not a good place to work all and let me not to mention the lack of hours they give you.. it would be a blessing if you had one day on the schedule.
