Starting out in the NOC as an entry level job you are paid pretty well. Training is constant whether you've been there a day or a year. Management always wants their employees to further their knowledge with additional training and certifications (paying you back for the classes/testing when you pass the cert test).
It is a difficult place to work as a woman. It isn't the fault of any employees or employers. You work with clients who are 99.9% male and they had a tendency to assume I was the receptionist and even when I said I wasn't they didn't want my help. But that can be the business unfortunately.
NOC manager really wants his "NOClings" to go places and is very encouraging that they find their niche.
