Schoenbrunn Healthcare offers skilled and intermediate services to the resident of Tuscarawas County and surrounding areas. The facility has a capacity to care for one hundred and sixty-six (166) patients and employs a staff of one hundred and fifty (150), making them one of the largest employers in the county.

Our Lifebridge Unit is dedicated solely to meeting the needs of sub-acute patients. As a distinct unit of Schoenbrunn Healthcare, Lifebridge provides services of the highest quality to patients with the most complex medical conditions, including, postoperative care, intravenous therapy, wound care and rehabilitative therapy. The nurses work as part of an interdisciplinary team with the physician, physical, speech and occupational therapists, social workers, case managers and dietitian. The team meets weekly to review each patients progress toward the earliest possible return to the home.

Rehabilitation is a central part of the care provided to the patients on Lifebridge, as the vast majority of sub-acute patients receive some sort of therapy. Schoenbrunn Healthcare Center provided rehabilitation services on both inpatient and outpatient basis, including physical, occupational and speech therapy.

Admission to the facility typically begins with a referral from a discharge planner, physician or insurance company, but, may also be initiated by a patient or family member. The admission coordinator will obtain pertinent medical information and arrange for the admission to the facility.
