High stress, fast paced, high turnover, to-fast-to-handle-growth
Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager (Former Employee) –  Peachtree City, GAFebruary 2, 2017
Everyone is overwhelmed. Some really good people, very capable, dedicated, but are being killed with the hours, the issues, the meetings, outside visits, outside audits and corporate demands.
The facility is very nice, equipment is fairly new, area is very nice.
Turnover is a constant issue along with training new people to replace the one's that have left. It is very challenging and not conducive to any work-life balance
Pros
Nice facility, fairly new equipment, located in nice area
Cons
Turnover, stress, hectic pace, too many things do with little time

Poor management, empty promises, ruining home life
Spouse of worker (Former Employee) –  Northlake, ILJanuary 17, 2017
This company will ruin family life, and take away from time and home with spouses and children. They will promise you a better shift, then come up with an excuse to take it away from you. This company is selfish and NOT family orientated. Management does not care about their employees. Human Resources are unintelligent and useless.
Pros
None.
Cons
Management, not recognized for seniority and hard work, HR is useless

Scholle operates in challenging markets and with very high profile national and global accounts. Expectations are high, but there is support to meet them.
The co-workers are the best part. I always felt part of a team where both following along and pushing back lead to successful completion of a project.

Mechanical Designer (Former Employee) –  Irvine, CAMay 29, 2013
I was assigned a project and specific deadline to design and build a automated filling machine for the food and beverage industry following 3A Dairy Sanitation Specifications. I interacted with shop personnel as well as purchasing, sales and accounting departments. I also traveled to client locations within continental United States.
The most satisfying part of the job was hearing the words "well done" from my superiors.

Level 3 Q/C machine operator (Current Employee) –  Northlake, ILMarch 26, 2013
The pay was great the job is really straight forward you can progress really far in the company at your on speed as long as you are on the good side of your team leader or supervisor. The pay makes you turn your head and close your eyes to alot of things happening and also knowing that the people in HR aren't there to protect you. My advice go in there get your money bite your tongue and trust no one.
Pros
great pay, pay for skills
Cons
to much personal drama affecting supervisers

Great pay Management is incompetent and aggressive
Level 3 associate (Current Employee) –  Northlake, ILMarch 29, 2013
Great Pay at the job however the management is cluelesss, they come in without even knowing the job, and are aggressive. They changed things on machines without full knowledge and create alot of scrap and when confronted its there rules. HR does nothing to protect you they will fire a loyal employee who has been there for years instead of a not knowing supervisor who just started. They wait to replace them and then fire them, but it doesnt matter because your innocent and your already gone.
Pros
free pop fridays and the pay
Cons
the management and hr dept

I was the ERP and Exchange administrator for the global company. I learned MS Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010. Management was not very supportive. My co-workers were good people. Everyone in the trenches worked well with each other and supported each other. The hardest part of the job was being on call 24/7/365. The most enjoyable part was my co-workers.

Manager - Northlake (Current Employee) –  Northlake, ILMarch 12, 2013
Scholle pays well but you'll work for it. Work life balance doesn't exist here. There are a lot of people in leadership positions who are clueless, it's a frustrating place to work.
Pros
good pay, lots of free food. free pop on fridays
Cons
lots of politics for such a small place, wrong people in leadership positions

Electronics and Mechanics Technician (Former Employee) –  North Lake, ILFebruary 24, 2015
This place has positive people. They are really nice in management. However the walls close in as the job goes on. It is one where if you go to your car in the parking lot on your break you're supposed to clock out.

You get 20 minutes for lunch, and two 15 minute breaks during the day.

If you work overtime that is not scheduled they don't pay you for it.

The guys working here do the best they can with what they have though. They are good salt of the earth people. However, there is a lot of time wasted with inefficiencies. There seems to be an attempt to bring in the military mindset but only part of it was translated and that proves to be partially ineffective.

The air is hard to breathe as it is full of plastic.

If you get hurt on the job or as a result of the job they are very frantic and will give you a pink slip if you follow their instructions. So even if you're broken just show up to work or you'll lose your job.
