Was an excellent employer to work for but unfortunately the current budget crisis they are facing forced my position to be cut.

My fellow colleagues are extremely AMAZING! As a Long Term Sub you're constantly having to take over other teachers classes for an extended period of time. And most people do not understand just how arduous that is; and it's even harder if you don't have the proper support from your fellow grade group teachers. However, that wasn't the case for me! – more... Granted, there were times the class gave me a hard time, but having a strong support system from the two other 6th grade teachers made most situations bare-able. The most difficult part about being a Long Term Sub is having to constantly be ready to start over at any day. After a while you begin to build bonds with the kids inside the classroom. You begin to build relationships and truly want to see these kids prosper and grow and if a teacher decides to come back to their classroom, in some cases it can be devastating to both the long term sub and the student. – less

I learned alot, how to treat and respect customers, how to go above and beyond for those who I am serving and how to build rapport and long term relationships with all stakeholders.

The hardest part of my job was not being able to help everyone. I like when customers leave feeling happy and satisfied.

It was a fast paced, yet enjoyable job. This job had great benefits. I learned communication skills. Outstanding staff and management. The hardest part about the job was maintaining the daily routine. The most enjoyable of this job was the overall business.

I would still be working if not for cutbacks.You make sure the all students go to class. There was about 10 security guards and we all worked together to make the school day safe for students and staff.

The SDP has lost sight of the children, especially those with the greatest needs. Too many cuts to valuable programs. Teachers and SLPs are not respected by upper level administration;

As a School District of Philadelphia Employee, I loved working with the parents and the students. My day always started with greeting the parents and students with Good Morning.I learned case management as well as time management and displaying patience with situations that have become irate. Some of the co workers had thier picks but over all I remained – more... professional in my approach and interactions with them. Positive atmosphere, flexible working hours, and a wonderful staff.

working with students and parents. ive learned mostly great social skills. my co-workers have been amazing. the hardest part of the job was dealing with neglected children. ive always loved everything about my job, especially th children.

The job can be very challenging at times you have to be able to multitask. Be prepared to be cursed out by parents upset about their child being bullied, grades, or problems with teachers at least several times a week.

Working in the business management side of the District provides a challenge to work with limited resources.

It was a challenging position, with several key duties. A traditional work place where the people are required to do their work without immediate supervision. Each person was rated on their own merits.

Assissted head teacher with Special Needs Population. Did daily task and routines for Children with special Needs. Branched out within School District.

A typical day at work for me visiting my patients, seeing if they need me to do anything for them. cook, clean, administer medications, mainly. I learned that every client is different and will require different needs.The hardest part of the job is not being able to effectively communicate with the patients when they become frustrated.

I have learned a lot about teaching and enjoyed my time as a teacher. While challenging at times, the benefit of this job are that you are truly changing lives for the better if you are doing a good job.

I love working at a place that values education, and molding childrens minds

I enjoyed interacting with the students. When I could help a parent accomplish a goal,it was a rewarding fee;ing. I worked with nice people willing to assist wehn needed.

Helping children is a wonderful thing and school district is the place to do just that. Typical day would change from day to day many different activities always available
