Intern (Former Employee) – Pullman, WA – February 21, 2018
For interns SEL boasts a great experience to learn and grow as a student while also making it seem like your guaranteed a job after the internship. This was not the case. I did not gain any valuable experiences because all I did was glorified assistant work. It was either paperwork or staring at a computer all day doing mundane tasks. People often just hand off their unwanted work to interns when they could have done it themselves. Also the SEL culture that is talked about so much in Friday Lunch is not relevant to interns. They couldn’t care less about them. The same goes with assemblers. The way I’ve heard people talk about assemblers is awful because they are hard working people. The managers act very entitled and like they are above all. This job was really a waste of time for me and people treated me terribly as an intern. Every small mistake is the end of the world.
