The Technical Implementation Specialist is an integral member of ScottCare's Engineering department. This position will be responsible for implementing the interface and integration of ScottCare systems with customers' Electronic Health Records systems.
*Lead integration efforts, which includes providing project planning and technical direction ensuring the success of the implementation.
*Assess and document customer's integration requirements and map data elements, as well as interfaces based on these requirements.
*Conduct full-volume testing of implementations and record all verification activities.
*Identify and resolve issues pertaining to the success of projects, including data flow, application implementation, and issue escalation.
*Monitor the implemented interface to ensure uninterrupted and uncorrupted message transfer.
*Provide project updates to stakeholders in a timely manner.
*Participate in pre-sales meetings to help customers understand interface requirements and the implementation process.
*Participate and contribute to product development and/or implementation process improvements.
Mentor co-workers and advise customers on integration architecture, integration concepts and best practices.
*Act as a technical subject matter expert within the company as necessary.
*Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent
*Minimum of 3 years related work experience in clinical systems and/or healthcare information systems
*Must be experience in implementation of HL7 based connectivity solutions at customer sites.
*Experience/skills in computer networking, HL7, SQL database and other computer technologies.
*A+ Certification, IT Essentials, MCNA or equivalent.
*Knowledge of interface engines preferred, e.g. Cloverleaf, eGate, JCAPS, Rhapsody, OpenLink, BizTalk.
*Good project management skills and efficient at multi-tasking.
*Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
*Must be a team player.
*Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
