If you are a talented, exceptional individual, avoid this employer. Mediocrity, incompetence and abusive management practices rule here.
Excellence, intelligence and common sense are abhorred by the clique in power. This is one toxic environment where the herd mentality is encouraged and capable employees are effectively shown the door! Lesson learned:

I am also an ex employee. I worked in the medical records department. I loved it. I agree it's not what you know it is who you know. It doesn't matter if you are a good employee or not if the department supervisor doesn't like you she will do what ever it takes to get rid of you. That is what happened to me. It is a very stressful department to work in. I was told it is not against the law for the supervisor to be mean and nasty to her employees.
