VERY TOXIC environment..........other hospitals are better, stay with them unless you want to find out for yourself..........good luck on that

I am also an ex employee. I worked in the medical records department. I loved it. I agree it's not what you know it is who you know. It doesn't matter if you are a good employee or not if the department supervisor doesn't like you she will do what ever it takes to get rid of you. That is what happened to me. It is a very stressful department to work in. I was told it is not against the law for the supervisor to be mean and nasty to her employees.

They don't seem to get rid of the bad ones- they just keep promoting them. Time for some forced retirement!

Typical from the HR response script, but completely untrue. The vision and values at SHC are good, until you realize they only apply to patients and management. If youre an hourly worker, you're screwed. No longer offer competetive pay, either. Enjoy paycuts, clock punchers, you just got one!

yup I agree micro management to the max!!! They don't like or appreciate older workers....cater to the young ones.....not the best place to work......

I totally agree! As a 10 year veteran of this company I found once I hit my wage ceiling, mangement found ways to shove me out the door. The company's stated mission is in tact, they treat their patients well, but their employees not so well. It is a great place to work if you are mangement, not a direct care-giver. Right now they are the lowest hourly wage in town for my speciality and require no previous experience.

The ding dongs in senior management under Tom S. must be in bed with each other because the HR that they hire only protect the management and not the employee. This place is a joke for patients too, I'd elaborate with stories but that's what Yelp and Google reviews will note. It's obvious to see from the high turnover and still nothing has changed. This hospital's finances are wasted on attrition because of incompetent, envious management. I needed psychiatric counseling and physical therapy to improve my attitude and straighten my beaten down back.

Something is NOT right in this company thou they "claim" they are a good place to work for,,,HA! they are not unless you play the game you may be ok....HR doesn't care either...If you are older you can forget that too....Stay away it is bad news all the way around....
