violates laws for independent contractors, needs class action suite
independent contractor driver (Former Employee), Sarasota, FloridaDecember 30, 2012
Pros: the other drivers- nice people
Cons: the money, wearing out your car
Really bad business, you will never make the going rate for use of your auto (as per IRS guidelines) so you pay no taxes, but you will destroy your car, most drivers drive 30,000 - 80,000 miles per year, making $10,000 - $36,000 a year, befor deductions: You pay for all gas and maintance on your car (do the math), you will pay for uniform, special insurance (they get drugs covered and if you die they get paid also), you will also pay for phone or scanning device that you rent from them. Job security there is none, they remind you all the time that you can be replaced, if you won't work a holiday, and you get no added compensation for holidays. They tell you how much they will pay for a route, you don't get to bid (like independent contractor) and they have other jobs PRN's they won't tell you what they pay or the way to figure out payment, it's basically what they say. I worked there until I found something better, anything, all the people that work there do the same and that's what they count on.

scriptfleet is braking the labor laws
former driver (Former Employee), Winston Salem NCJune 22, 2012
Cons: anything and everything to do with the company
This company has so many promises and tells so many lies it's beyond belief. First off they call you a INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR.. How can you be that when they require you to purchase and wear their Uniforms? They give proposals to new customers with the selling point that their (get this) EMPLOYEES all wear the same UNIFORMS... Now wait a min... they call me a employee but yet I am responisble for taking my own taxes out.. no insurance, no beniefits but yet I am required to purchase Uniforms, rent a scanner that don't work 95 percent of the time and I am treated as if I am a EMPLOYEE....

BEWARE of their offers to give you a route... I have yet to see or run the same route over and over.. it's a shared process... You share the route with another driver.
