In this role I was instrumental in development of a new department. Once established my daily routine was cold calling industry targets and cultivation of leads. The transformer - high power industry was fascinating. Management was somewhat conservative and simply not proactive to think outside the box. My co-workers were both supportive and eager to assist when needed. It was not unusual for them to seek my assistance with projects and use of our CRM product. I prefer an outside sales approach and was granted opportunity for a the 2nd and 3rd years of employment. The model however changed in the 4th year that required utilization of web conferences where applicable. Generating new opportunities with large corporate accounts, travel, and trade shows were the most enjoyable part of my position.
