RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE, Sea Island, GA - October 23, 2017
A typical morning consisted of signing in resort members and guests for clinics, selling store merchandise, and directing players to their private lessons. Throughout the rest of the day more private lessons and independent court times were steady, while the latter portion of the afternoon was spent answering calls and booking lessons, clinics, and court times for incoming guests. Learning the ins-and-outs of the job was mainly done by being thrown into the environment, which helped me pick up aspects of the job quickly. The workplace culture was social and engaging, which really taught me valuable skills in forming relationships with guests and my co-workers. The most difficult aspect of the job was trying to satisfy all the needs of guests. Because summer is the height of the season for the resort it was difficult to accommodate guests who wanted to reserve ample courts, but was satisfying when I was able to shift things around and ultimately provide for the guest.
