When I originally started, I was privileged to work with a group of like minded individuals who were concerned with safety and customer service. Gradually, through bad policy and poor management decisions, the initiative and motivation was leached out of us, resulting in poor morale and service. Efforts to bring about improvement or change were often stonewalled, and sometimes ideas which were extended were stolen from others, and presented as coming from management. The end result was an overall feeling of apathy, and resulted in feeling undervalued and un-appreciated.
