  In this company - your personal business is not confidential - Human Resources leaves this information out on desks for people to see - all your personal info - like social security number, phone numbers, personal contacts, your employer cash register clock in number is known by everyone in the store, the phone system is a party line - anyone can "listen in" at the store on various phones. Once your hired by the company all your training is online - but you can only do that training if your supervisor allows you to use the internal system - and they have to give you a password - you can only use it while clocked into work - but you can't use it because - you are supposed to be working - not using the computers! You can't apply for job transfers or promotions unless the management allows you to use the internal gateway - you have to have a password - you have to be clocked into work - and have permission to use the computer while on the clock - this keeps it so that only "management favorites" can apply for promotions or transfers.
