Securities America

Securities America pioneered the fee-based broker/dealer concept. Our representatives pay us a flat monthly fee for the services we provide. In turn, we pay back to them 100% of their commissions at the highest contract level. This innovative way of doing business has fueled our rapid growth. The Securities America Financial Corporation is a wholly – more... owned subsidiary of American Express Financial Corporation. The parent company of American Express Financial Corporation is the American Express Company. SAFC uses the Quality Improvement Process (QIP) to prevent errors and defects in our work systems. Each work group is trained to use the Quality Improvement tools to eliminate non-conformances in their processes. We have a business appropriate dress code at SAFC. In most instances, less formal attire such as slacks, khakis, collared shirts, and sweaters is appropriate. When customers or other guests visit our office we observe traditional business dress, such as suits and dresses. SAFC operates with a multi-million dollar back office processing system called MIPS. This enormous database allows us to efficiently process, monitor, and record thousands of client transactions each day. MIPS is a Windows ‘95 based application specifically designed for SAFC. Our Internet web site address is www.securitiesamerica.com. We do an average of 33,000 stock, bond, and mutual fund transactions each month. National Financial Services Corporation, a Fidelity company, is our clearing firm (the firm that executes our transactions on the various stock exchanges). SAFC sponsors many employee activities, such as softball and basketball teams. We also have regular employee events such as happy hours, picnics, and the annual Employee Forum. SAFC developed a training program for employees called "FD University." This program was created to help our employees learn not only about products such as mutual funds and stocks, but also for our employees to gain an understanding of how our company works. We utilize an Intranet to speed and facilitate communication within our organization. – lessMore from ZoomInfo »
